On 2nd August 2010, the Chairman of Wolverhampton Community Radio Training (WCRT, the company which ran WCRfm) Pete Whitehouse presented an edition of “Inside Tracks” and the subject of that edition was me!
The programme follows a very similar style to the BBC’s long running “Desert Island Discs”, though the WCR version exclusively features local ‘people of interest’. Inside Tracks has featured hundreds of guests since the mid-1990s all the way up until the present day.
At the time of this particular edition – August 2010 – I was working on the first of 2 DVD documentaries about the television company ATV – From ATVLand in Colour – and my day job was with WCRT/WCRfm, so Pete invited me onto Inside Tracks to go through my life and interests as well as some of my favourite music.
This was the first time I’d been asked to talk about myself in any way and as with my later video interview I was nervous as its not usually the sort of thing I’d do, but it was a fun experience! You can hear it now by pressing the play button below.
At the time of writing, new and archive editions of Inside Tracks can be heard on WCRfm on Sunday Afternoons at 5pm – check www.wcrfm.com/shows for up-to-date details, and the most recent editions of Inside Tracks are available on WCRfm’s Listen Again page.
